People & Business Change - For Growth

It’s All About You…

Most founders & business leaders have great businesses, strong teams and talented people. Everyone will know 'where we are now' and of course 'how did we get here'. And some will have clarity on 'where we need to be'.

Yet not all leaders know 'how'... and for some, they don't yet know what else can be achieved - the stretch. But funnily enough, almost all founders & leaders believe in 'more' ... "there are more clients to win, more talent to hire, more profit to secure, more impact in our space to deliver, more legacy to create, more markets to crack or services to offer”.

And yet so few leaders seek external stimulus and accelerators.

A coach. A fractional senior advisor to add extra capability and experience when and where you need it most. To grow.

Strategic guidance, coaching and mentoring.

“RT has grown businesses and helped them to become extremely successful financially, setting out clear strategy and engaging the teams to deliver on that strategy. He excels at engaging businesses/teams and getting everyone on the same journey

— AA, Head of Talent

  • An external business coach provides an unbiased and objective perspective. Because we're not emotionally tied to the day-to-day operations, allowing us to see the business from a fresh and impartial viewpoint.

  • Business coaches typically have a wealth of experience and expertise - for me personally, it's approaching thirty years helping achieve high performance, and typically through a focus on People, Culture, Operations, Clients, Strategy and Financial Performance. Coaches will have worked with various companies and sectors, and faced diverse challenges, giving us insights and strategies that can be applied to your specific situation.

  • Coaches assist in developing and refining strategic plans. We help founders set clear goals, prioritise tasks, and create actionable plans for scaling the business effectively.

  • A business coach serves as an accountability partner. We hold the founder accountable for implementing strategies and achieving milestones - ensuring progress is made and goals are met.

  • Coaches focus on developing leadership and management skills. We identify areas for improvement and provide guidance on enhancing communication, decision-making, and other essential skills for effective leadership.

  • Business coaches excel at problem-solving. We help identify challenges, explore potential solutions, and guide the founder in making informed decisions to overcome obstacles.

  • Coaches often have extensive networks - a black book - and can connect founders with valuable resources, industry experts, and potential business partners, enhancing the SMEs growth prospects.

  • Business coaches assist in building high-performing teams. We provide guidance on hiring, training, and developing employees, fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.

  • Coaching goes beyond business strategies; it also focuses on personal development. Coaches work with founders to enhance self-awareness, resilience, and leadership skills, contributing to overall success.

  • By providing targeted guidance, coaches help founders use their time more efficiently. This is crucial for leaders of scaling businesses and SMEs who often face time constraints and must prioritise tasks effectively.

  • Coaches help founders adapt to change, a critical aspect of scaling a business. We provide support during periods of growth, helping leaders navigate transitions and maintain a resilient mindset.

  • While engaging a business coach requires an investment, the potential return on investment is substantial - business changing in many instances. Improved decision-making, enhanced leadership skills, and successful scaling efforts can contribute to long-term profitability and success. And it's a fun, and enriching experience.

…so what do
I actually get?

'Services' ... nah. That’s 'off the shelf' talk and that's not the Transverto Way. Instead, we build bespoke, outcomes-focused solutions, tailored to your specific needs. So, experience says an exploratory call and meet, and then invest honest effort into clearly identifying the real need and opportunity before a program is created. So maybe 1-3 calls or meetings (sometimes over lunch, or meeting the team or clients can help) to get it right and quickly. No faffing.

Typically, clients want something like:

Founders/Owners Advisory guidance

Strategic advice for founders/owners to clearly define a stretched North Star vision.

Typically, this requires a few sessions initially to be really clear and effectively launch through the business, and then 1-3 sessions per qtr, and can last from 1-3 yrs, and beyond as the value continues to be realised.

Investment costs will vary but most clients typically invest from as little as £10-15k pa.

Advisory support involves offering strategic guidance, industry expertise, and actionable insights to help the entrepreneur navigate the complexities of scaling their business.

This type of coaching goes beyond personal and skill development, and focuses on providing valuable advice and direction for business growth and sustainability.

This may include:

That's it ... Transverto will provide you with strategic collaboration, industry expertise, and practical guidance to navigate the challenges and opportunities associated with business growth.

The goal is to empower the founder with the knowledge and insights needed to make informed decisions and drive the sustained success of the scaling enterprise.

Manager & Leadership coaching and development

Too often managers & leaders are thrust into bigger roles too soon, and without the necessary skills or confidence to deliver the new role brilliantly. Without dedicated support or a 'safe space' to grow into the role, it becomes a high-risk strategy, often linked with failure and at least underperformance that erodes confidence and compromises outcomes. They were great recruiters, or salespeople, or advisors, so make them manage teams like them. Yes, they'll have the technical and personal experiences of the team members, but what about all the skills needed to manage and lead effectively?

Coaching transforms confidence and capability, and given most teams are driven by managers & leaders (ergo, get great managers & leaders and you get a great business) a 6-month program from £1500 per day (covering up to 4 people/day) is a shrewd investment to drive performance and stay ahead.

Most clients adopt a 6 - 12 month program of monthly sessions to drive habit and high performance.

So what is Coaching,
The Transverto Way?

  • Business coaching is focused on setting and achieving specific goals. Coaches work with clients to define clear objectives, whether it's scaling a business, improving leadership skills, enhancing team dynamics, or addressing specific challenges.

  • Coaching is highly tailored to the individual client's needs. Coaches recognise that each client and business is unique, and we customise our approach to address specific circumstances and goals.

  • The coaching relationship is collaborative. Coaches and clients work together as partners, with the coach providing guidance, support, and insights while the client actively engages in the process, takes ownership of their development, and implements recommended strategies.

  • Coaches employ active listening skills to understand the client's perspective, challenges, and goals thoroughly. This helps in building a strong foundation for the coaching process and ensures that interventions are relevant and impactful.

  • Coaches provide constructive feedback and encourage clients to reflect on their actions and decisions. This reflective process promotes self-awareness and facilitates continuous learning and improvement.

  • Business coaching often involves the development of specific skills necessary for professional success. This can include leadership skills, communication skills, decision-making, time management, sales strategies, and other competencies crucial for effective business management.

  • Coaches assist clients in identifying and solving problems. We help clients analyse challenges, explore potential solutions, and develop strategies to overcome obstacles, fostering a more proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

  • Accountability is a central element of business coaching. Coaches help clients set realistic goals, create action plans, and hold them accountable for progress. Regular check-ins and assessments ensure that clients stay on track.

  • Business coaching sessions are confidential. This creates a safe space for clients to openly discuss challenges, share concerns, and explore ideas without fear of judgment. Confidentiality is essential for building trust in the coaching relationship.

  • Ultimately, business coaching is results-focused. Coaches and clients work collaboratively to achieve measurable outcomes and positive changes in the client's professional life and the overall performance of the business.

Business coaching is a dynamic and evolving process that adapts to the changing needs of the client and the business environment. Whether for individual leaders, teams, or the organisation as a whole, business coaching can contribute significantly to personal and professional development, as well as the success and growth of the business.

Mentorship and training

Across all levels, and particularly where high potential exists, investing in mentorship and training shows intent to the individual, and to others in the business - we can take you further and achieve more & better together.

This can range from 1-2-1 sessions, small team or group cohorts run in person, or via Teams/Zoom, on your site or an agreed venue to suit. These can be one-off sessions, a 'shot in the arm moment'; or more typically, clients opt for a deeper option, and run a program of monthly sessions, allowing time to embed and build habits on new topics, and build a cadence of continuous personal and business improvement.

This work is priced on a program-by-program basis, with one-off day rates from £1500, reducing on a sliding scale to £1000 for longer term programs, that could last 3-12 months.

    AH, EU Head Of Talent

  • “I first met Rick in Oct ‘22, when he joined as MD during a pivotal period in the company's history consisting of a re-brand and office move. When Rick joined, we were grappling with a turbulent business environment, inconsistent practices, and a poor company culture. Rick swiftly became the light at the end of the tunnel and created vision, pathways, and structure within the business that was required to move forward. Rick helped me personally grow with 1-1 training sessions, weekly coffees, and most of all developing my skills as a leader, dealing with challenging situations in my team and throughout the business that I had not experienced before. There was always something new to learn or implement because of our conversations which always challenged & pushed me forward..."

    Team Manager

  • "...He was instrumental in defining a clear and compelling strategic vision. Through planning and keen insights, he steered the company on a path of sustainable growth and success. Creating pathways to allow team members to grow and scale the business which allowed a more stable working environment compared to the previous paths and managerial style..."

    Team Manager

  • "...Rick undertook the task of redefining our corporate culture. His leadership created an environment of collaboration, mutual respect, and dedication among our teams. This shift not only improved morale but also boosted productivity & innovation. We always discussed methods and practices that worked best for me, and a good book recommendation was never far away. For redefining corporate culture ‘The Barcelona Way’ was a personal favourite! One of Rick's most significant strengths was his commitment to coaching and developing talent within the organisation. I, along with many of my colleagues, witnessed substantial personal and professional growth under his guidance. His mentorship was invaluable in helping us transition into leadership roles and grow more junior members of the team. On top of this, he was always the hardest working person in the office setting the example from the front, and moreover, he cared about the business and the people in it on a personal level”

The areas we almost always cover tend to loop in the core 6 business accelerators - People, Culture, Operational Excellence, Clients, Strategy and Financial Performance. So, if any of these dials can be (need to be) turned up, we'll together find the opportunities, agree the roadmap and make a difference - together.

  • Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and Employer Brand (EB), attraction, selection, pre-start, onboarding, training, coaching and development, employee NPS to drive growth and retention to maximise and future-proof your talent.

  • Create a purpose-led, high-performing culture that aligns your vision, mission and values, and creates a pull for future employees and drives retention and all the discretionary efforts that separates strong culture from weak ones.

  • Internal and external touch points and maximise efficiencies using proven methodologies.

  • New client acquisition, existing client retention & expansion, leveraging relationship, NPS, loyalty ladder and Client Development Plans.

  • Long term strategy (North Star) converted into operational action plans, well-communicated, embraced and executed by all.
